Personalised horse gifts from your photo
Every horse lover has a favourite photo of their horse. We turn it into a 3D print: a lithophane that glows into their face when lit, a filament painting in colours matched to their coat, or a carving with real depth. A gift that's all about their horse, not just horses.

A gift for horse lovers that's about their horse
Horse lovers are usually well stocked with horseshoe ornaments and horsey mugs. A print of their own horse or pony is different: made from your photo, so it's their markings, their blaze and that look they give over the stable door.
It makes a lovely birthday present for a horse-mad friend, partner or daughter, a thank you to a yard owner or instructor, or a keepsake when a loan horse moves on.
A memorial for a much-loved horse
When a horse or pony passes, their owner loses a partner of many years. A print made from a favourite photo is a gentle way to keep them close: a lithophane that glows with their face each evening, or a sculpted relief to hold.
If you're ordering for someone else, choose a photo where the horse looks relaxed and happy. The studio preview lets you check it before you order, and every piece is checked and packed carefully.
Which print suits a horse?
Bold markings like a blaze or star look striking as a lithophane, where the light picks out every detail. Bay and chestnut coats come out rich as a filament painting in auto-matched colour or Mocha. Greys look lovely in the Greyscale palette, and a sculpted relief shows off the shape of the head and the mane.
Head shots print the most detail. Portrait-shaped photos work well, and the studio sets the shape of the print to match your photo.
Ideas for horse lovers
Choosing the photo
- A head shot with both ears forward captures their expression best.
- Stand back a little and zoom in, rather than getting close with a wide lens, so the face isn't distorted.
- Soft, even light shows the coat without harsh shadows.
- A plain background, like a stable wall or a hedge, keeps the focus on the horse.

Questions
- Can I use a photo taken at the yard or in the field?
- Yes. Any sharp photo of their head works, whether it's over the stable door or out in the field. A plainer background helps the horse stand out, and you can zoom and move the photo in the studio to frame the face.
- Will it work for a grey or white horse?
- Yes. Greys look lovely in the Greyscale palette and as a white lithophane. Choose a photo with some shadow on the face so the shape of the head shows clearly.
- Is it suitable as a memorial gift?
- Yes, and it's a popular choice. A lithophane on our LED stand glows softly with their face each evening, and a sculpted relief gives something to hold. You can send it straight to the owner, and the parcel doesn't include a price.
- Does the lithophane come with a light?
- You can add our LED light stand at checkout, from £8. It holds the panel upright and lights it from behind with a warm white or colour-changing USB light, and it's printed in the colour you choose. Without the stand, a lamp behind the panel works well too.
- How long does delivery take?
- We print every order in our Manchester workshop and post it within 5 working days. Tracked delivery usually takes 1 to 3 working days after that, and it's free on orders over £30.
