How the photo lamp works
A lithophane is a thin panel carved from your photo: thinner where the photo is bright, thicker where it's dark. With light behind it, the picture appears. Our LED light stand holds the panel upright in a slot at the front, with a 60 mm USB LED light angled at the middle of the photo from behind.
The stand is printed in the colour you choose and sized for your panel, so it's a neat fit. Plug it into any USB socket or phone charger.
Warm white or colour-changing
Warm white gives the classic golden glow, lovely as a bedside or nursery nightlight. The colour-changing light has 16 colours and a remote, for a lamp with more personality. Pair either with a full colour lithophane, which brings back your photo's own colours, or a classic white panel.

Choosing the photo
- Close-up faces and pets glow best. Fill the frame with your subject.
- A photo with clear light and shade shows the most detail.
- In the studio, switch the preview light on and nudge the brightness up if faces look heavy.

Questions
- How much is a photo lamp?
- A small lithophane is £9 and the small LED light stand is £8, so a small photo lamp is £17. Medium is £12 plus £10 and large is £17 plus £12. Full colour lithophanes are £4 to £6 extra.
- How is it powered?
- By USB. The light plugs into any USB socket or phone charger.
- What sizes are there?
- The photo is about 10 cm, 15 cm or 20 cm along its long edge, in landscape, portrait or square, and each stand is made to fit its panel.
- How long does delivery take?
- We print every order in our Manchester workshop and post it within 5 working days. Tracked delivery usually takes 1 to 3 working days after that, and it's free on orders over £30.
