Black, yellow, chocolate or fox red?
Black labradors look wonderful as a lithophane, where the light picks out the shape of their head, or in the Greyscale palette. Yellow and fox red labs suit a filament painting in auto-matched colour or Ember. Chocolate labs look rich in Mocha or as a sculpted relief.
If the photo is dark, especially with a black lab, nudge the brightness up in the studio and check the preview.

- Yes. Black labs are one of the best subjects for a lithophane, where the light shows the shape of the face. Choose a well-lit photo and nudge the brightness up in the studio if needed.
- Which palette suits a fox red or yellow lab?
- Auto match picks colours from your photo and suits most yellow and fox red coats. Ember and Mocha are good warm palettes to try alongside it.
- Does the lithophane come with a light?
- You can add our LED light stand at checkout, from £8. It holds the panel upright and lights it from behind with a warm white or colour-changing USB light, and it's printed in the colour you choose. Without the stand, a lamp behind the panel works well too.
- How long does delivery take?
- We print every order in our Manchester workshop and post it within 5 working days. Tracked delivery usually takes 1 to 3 working days after that, and it's free on orders over £30.
